GREENWICH – Art Powers has been for 37 years, and is an audio guy. He’s the drummer for Hot Rubber Monkey, a cover band that plays hits in ’70s and the ’60s. He is a keeper. He’s a man of many passions, but some rank higher than many others. “My interests are motors, music and artwork,” he explained. Art and Sound Gallery, Powers’ niche Byram storefront which started last winter, combines two of the loves: luxury speaker programs, including a new layout that costs $32,000, constitute the “noise” component; paintings on the wall tackle “artwork” This fall, Powers will include his third excellent obsession — cars — to his own boutique with “Behind the Wheel,” on view through the end of November.
