Born Dale Charles Mathis on January 22, 1972, Mathis hails from Inglewood, California, where his apt attention to detail was imbedded early in his youth through an avid interest in miniatures. Shortly after his 19th birthday, he moved to Las Vegas, where he worked as a bouncer, a construction worker…whatever it took to support his real passion: art. It is his compilation of bold, compelling themes and sophisticated aesthetics that landed Mathis’ creation of Crucifixion of a Legacy on MTV’s The Real World, Las Vegas XII.
